Tax Credits are far more beneficial than tax deductions. Tax credits are the same as cash and reduce the amount of taxes you owe at the end of the year by the face value of the tax credit.

Summary of the Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009

• The tax credits that were previously effective for 2009 are extended through 2010 as well.

• The tax credit has been raised from 10% to 30% of the total cost of qualifying improvements.

• The maximum credit has been raised from $200-$500 to $1,500 for the two years (2009-2010).

• The $200 cap on windows has been removed.

• The tax credit applies only to the product costs. No labor or installation costs can be included.

• Windows must have a U-value of <=.30 AND a solar heat gain co-efficient (SHGC) of <=.30.

How do I take advantage of the tax credits now?

1. Purchase Seaway's Ovation vinyl replacement windows with our InsulGlaze 450, 700, or 1000 high performance glass packages, Seaway's Accolade with the SP30 glass package, Seaway's Encore Patio Door with SP30, or Prima Vista Patio Door with high performance Low E, argon gas, and premium warm edge spacer.

2. Have them installed from January 1, 2009 to December 31, 2010 by an authorized Seaway dealer.

3. Take advantage of the energy tax credit when filing for your taxes. Please consult your tax advisor for specifics on eligibility and claiming the Energy Tax Credit.

4. Print and save the Manaufacturer's Certification Statement-choose your product from the links on the left side of this page

5. Save the NFRC sticker from one of your installed Seaway windows as proof of your windows' eligibility for the tax credit.
